Job Description

A Presales Solution Architect is a technical contributor within Alchemy Technology Group who provides technical sales and services support to Account Executives, Sales Operations, and to customers, demonstrating technical proficiency and subject matter expertise. The role is accountable for reinforcing the Alchemy mission of transformative disruption in both theory and practice.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Function as a technical contributor to support the company mission, vision, and overall strategy
  • Describe and demo technical infrastructure solutions centered around the Alchemy technology stack
  • Explain and capture customer requirements for projects relating to the Identity and Access Management solution stack
  • Create estimates, statements of work, documentation, and deliverables for projects.

This must be done in a timely manner:

  • Track time and expenses daily to ensure compliance with Alchemy policies
  • Provide technical, licensing, and advisory support to Alchemy Account Executives to drive revenue and opportunity expansion
  • Maintain a current understanding of the technology solutions within your subject matter area as well as relevant certifications along with any secondary skill sets
  • Comply with established policies and procedures communicated to all personnel by the Alchemy leadership team
  • Uphold the values of Alchemy, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful engagement closeout
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with your teammates

Qualifications and Education

As an Alchemist, the preliminary qualifications for employment are attitude and aptitude. These are essential characteristics to begin the journey towards extraordinary outcomes. To complete the profile as a Presales Solution Architect the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Identity and Governance or a related technical field. Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on presales or solution architecture roles. Experience working in a value-added reseller (VAR) environment is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the following areas:

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Proficiency in IAM concepts and solutions is important. This includes knowledge of authentication mechanisms, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), identity federation, directory services (such as Active Directory), and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Solid knowledge of IAM products and vendors in the market, such as Microsoft, Okta, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, etc.
  • Security Standards and Frameworks: Proficiency in relevant security standards and frameworks is important. This includes familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and other industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience with implementing identity technology programs/solutions is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to analyze, explain, and document methodically;
  • Ability to work with limited oversight to complete work task(s);
  • Possess ability to be flexible with clients’ visions and directions without compromising quality;
  • Punctuality and Professionalism when engaging with current or future customers
