Job Description

An Architect is someone who possesses not only the technical abilities but also the professionalism and soft skills that are required to lead projects. They are experts in their respective technical platforms and contribute to the advancement of the products(s). Architects have consistent delivery with customer projects, exceptional professionalism, excellent customer interactions, punctuality, and leading team members on engagements.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Function as a technical contributor to support the company mission, vision, and overall strategy.
  • Explain and capture customer requirements for projects relating to the Identity and Access Management solution stack and then deploy the solutions as designed.
  • Create estimates, statements of work, documentation, and deliverables for projects. This must be done in a timely manner.
  • Architecture and deployment of technical identity solutions for customers.
  • Provide technical, licensing, and advisory support to Alchemy customers.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the technology solutions within the subject matter area as well as relevant certifications along with any secondary skill sets.
  • An Architect is someone who not only possesses the technical abilities, but also the professionalism and soft skills that are required to have consistent delivery with customer projects, excellent customer interactions, punctuality, promotion of internal relationships, and mentorship of team members.
  • Demonstrate expertise in their respective technical platform(s) and contribute to the advancement of the products(s) and Alchemy brand.
  • Drive business value outside solutions success. Multi-discipline expertise
  • Development and facilitation of advisory workshops to enable business growth
  • Strategic/consultative development of customer solutions to meet customers specific business needs
  • Comply with established policies and procedures communicated to all personnel by the Alchemy leadership team.

Qualifications and Education

As an Alchemist, the preliminary qualifications for employment are attitude and aptitude. These are essential characteristics to begin the journey towards extraordinary outcomes. To complete the profile as a Sr. Consultant the following qualifications are required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on presales or solution architecture roles.
  • Technical Skills: The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the following areas:
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Proficiency in IAM concepts and solutions is important. This includes knowledge of modern authentication mechanisms, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), identity federation, directory services (such as Active Directory), and privileged access management (PAM).
    • Solid knowledge of IAM products and vendors in the market, such as Microsoft, Okta, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, etc.
    • Solid knowledge of Customer Identity and Access Management products and vendors in the market, such as Okta CIAM/CIC, Auth0, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, etc.
    • Strong understanding of modern authentication protocols
      • SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)
      • OIDC (OpenID Connect)
      • OAuth (Open Authorization)
      • SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management)
    • Strong understanding of JSON and REST integration concepts.
    • Experience with C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming
  • Prior experience with implementing identity technology programs/solutions is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze, explain, and document methodically;
  • Ability to work with limited oversight to complete work task(s);
  • Possess ability to be flexible with clients’ visions and directions without compromising quality;
  • Punctuality and Professionalism when engaging with current or future customers;
