Citrix Synergy 2018 Recap

Alchemy’s perspective on how Citrix Workspace provides value to our customers

Citrix Synergy 2018 was held in Anaheim, CA last week May 8 through May 10. The annual conference is a way for Citrix to showcase their latest innovations to customers and partners a like as well as receive training on how to deploy these solutions. Alchemy Technology Group had a strong presence with 16 team members in attendance. 25 of our customers were represented at Synergy with anywhere from 1 to 7 team members from each company in attendance. That is a significant number and shows how important Citrix technologies are to our customers.

Citrix showed a great deal of innovation and Citrix CEO David Henshall committed to unifying the Citrix portfolio to make it less complex to deliver. He reinforced the need to accelerate to the cloud with subscription based service offerings which helps keep customers agile to meet the demands of the business. Lastly, Citrix has a strategy to expand into new areas beyond the virtualization space that Citrix products are traditionally known for. The goal is to have a more holistic workspace experience for your users which is known as the Citrix Workspace. The unification of products allows the focus to be more on user experience than the underlying technologies that support the workspace. The Citrix portfolio will consist of 3 focus areas: Citrix Workspace, Citrix Networking, and Citrix Analytics.

Alchemy Technology Group was awarded Commercial Partner of the Year a few months ago for our work with Citrix in the 2017 calendar year. Alchemy is the fastest partner to ever reach Platinum Partner status with Citrix and we are proud to receive this award after only a year of operations in the TOLA, Gulf States, Rockies, and Southern California regions! We were surprised to receive “Americas Partner Award Winner 2017” pins to recognize this accomplishment as we registered and picked up our event badges. You may have seen our team members wearing our flair proudly throughout the event!

We love our customers and to show our appreciation we hosted a joint happy hour with our technology partners Ivanti and Nutanix at Morton’s Steakhouse.  We had 230 people in attendance and packed the entire front section of the restaurant!

Synergy was not only a way for Citrix to showcase their innovation, but for the vast number of software vendors that have partnered with Citrix to provide additional value to the Citrix Workspace vision.  Every year TechTarget holds a competition at the show and this year we were glad to hear that all finalists and the award winners are companies Alchemy has partnered with and that we deploy these solutions regularly!  Congratulations to our friends!

FSLogix –Citrix Synergy 2018 Winner: New Technology and Best of Show categories – The FSLogix Cloud Cache technology is something that answers several challenges in the end user computing (EUC) world.
